Kristin Phillips is a retired public school educator having spent over 30 years as a teacher, principal and system administrator. She is passionate about educational reform and supports teacher learning as a catalyst to a better future for students. Kristin worked at both the Toronto District School Board and the Waterloo Region District School Board before retiring in 2019. She left Canada to teach mathematics in Tanzania to girls who had been in forced, early marriages and therefore no longer able to study in the public school system.
Upon her return to Canada, Kristin wrote a best-selling memoir For the Love of Learning: A Year in the Life of a School Principal. She continues to blog, teach yoga and tutor mathematics. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.
