As winter of 2020 approached, COVID-19 cases were rising in many parts of the world, the importance of coming together in solidarity to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic had never been greater. Dr. Tedros, Director General of the World Health Organization, talks about the global effort to defeat COVID-19, the agency’s long and productive partnership with Canada, and where we need to focus our cooperative efforts in the months ahead if we are to protect and promote the public health of all citizens. The WHO has never been more relevant to Canada – and to all countries worldwide.
