The Empire Club of Canada Presents:
Confronting Anti-Asian Racism in Canada

Since the beginning of COVID-19, we had seen a rise in anti-Asian racism in Canada. Research from the University of Toronto showed that reports of anti-Asian discriminatory incidents had more than tripled over the last year. During the 2021 Asian Heritage Month, The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade and Eileen Park, Founder and Filmmaker at Anecdotia Media joined the Empire Club podium as they reflected on their own experiences, shared their perspectives, and discussed how all Canadians can come together to fight anti-Asian racism.

Panelists:
The Honourable Mary Ng, Canada’s Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade

Eileen Park Robertson, Filmmaker at Anecdotia Media
